Mebor sawing line in the heart of Pacific.
Nuku Hiva is an island in French Polynesia, a region best known for islands such as Tahiti and Bora Bora. It is located 17,000 km from the MEBOR factory in Slovenia.
A modern forestry and sawmill operation has been established on the island Nuku Hiva, marking the first professional sawmill on the island. The wood, sourced from local pine forest plantations, is processed to supply the domestic market.
The sawmilling line is designed for high flexibility and high production capacity. The HTZ 1200 PLUS horizontal band saw allows processing logs of various diameters – up to 1.2 meters – and different lengths, providing exceptional versatility in cutting dimensions.
For logs up to 32 cm in diameter, the SDH ensures high-capacity cutting, while the VR 900 edger precisely trims boards. The VC 900 D25 double arbor multi rip saw further processes cants efficiently.
The project also includes a PZ 1200 pack saw, designed for cutting wood packs to their final length, as well as all necessary conveyors for waste handling. The entire sawing line is equipped with multiple conveyors, ensuring reduced labor requirements, a high level of automation, and outstanding production efficiency.
Main machines in the sawing line:
- HTZ 1200 PLUS, Horizontal band saw
- VR 900, Board edger and multi rip saw
- SDH-D 320, Double arbor (Scrag) circular saw for small logs
- VC 900 D25, Double arbor multi rip saws
This advanced sawing line ensures efficient and precise wood processing, bringing MEBOR’s cutting-edge technology to the heart of the Pacific.
